The Ellis Bird Farm

Located just to the east of Lacombe, Alberta on Highway 12 to Prentis Road South. In the summer months, visitors are welcome to our popular teahouse which offers snacks and lunch. Special events run from July to September.

Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions

Want to travel back in Time? Come on board a steam or diesel-powered vintage train. Trips last from 5 to 6 hours and include full course meal at destination, entertainment and maybe even a train robbery.


Lacombe Interpretive Center

Explore Lacombe's history through the many displays and exhibits. Watch the film in our Lux theater, "The Story of Lacombe."
Winter Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 4pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Michener House Museum

This 100-year-old home was the birthplace of one of Canada's greatest statesmen, Roland Michener who served as Canada's Governor General 1967-1974. The bed he was born in is still on display in the home.

Blacksmith Shop Museum

Built in 1902, the well-preserved Blacksmith Shop Museum still stands in its original spot, one out of only two in Alberta to have maintained their authentic position. It contains artifacts from blacksmithing history and a working shop. Red-hot coals soften iron, which is then carefully hammered into shape.

Lacombe Corn Maze

Three miles west of Lacombe. Go one mile west of the Hwy. #2 overpass on Hwy. #12, then 1/2 mile south on Range Road 27-3 There is so much more than just the maze. We have farm animals, camp fires, a corn box, a corn cannon, a country store, a cow train, mini mazes, a Hay Jump, slides, tricycles and a goat walk. Our hours are August: Monday-Saturday 11am-9pm, Closed Sundays. Sept/Oct: Sunday-Tuesday Closed, Wednesday-Thursday 4pm-8pm, Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday 11am-9pm. Admission costs are: Adults $8.00, Children(5-12) $6.00 Children Under 5 FREE! Lacombe Farmers Market

There's bargins galore, delicious treats and always something unique to be found at our local Farmer's Markets! Lacombe's goes Fridays from 9:00AM till 1:00PM at the Lacombe Centre Mall. May 6 to October 7. Saturday take in Bentley's at the Curling Rink from 1:30PM till 3:30PM May 21 to September 3.
Town of Lacombe Recreation - At various sites throughout the community, there are 16 ball diamonds, 8 soccer pitches, tennis courts, twin arenas, indoor swimming pool, curling rink, multipurpose community centre, auditorium and meeting rooms.

Lacombe Art Exhibit and Sale

Over 50 artists will be presenting their work. Be sure to make time to stop by the "Gourmet Cafe" for lunch or wonderful desserts as well as enjoy the great art presented.
